Noelle’s been at Witech Excavating for a little over a year, but she’s spent her entire 25-year career in construction, most of it as a project manager. While she loved being out on jobsites, there wasn’t always the work-life balance that she craved.
Noelle likes her current job at Witech because they treat everyone with respect. “They’re very, very humble, and it’s nice to feel appreciated. It’s just such a good company to work for–it’s the best job I’ve ever had. Everyone here does what they’re supposed to do and it’s good management, proactive.”
Noelle does a lot of the invoicing, job costing, payroll, general office duties, and “anything else they ask me to do!”
For Noelle, coming up in construction on the project management side of things required resilience. “As a woman, you gotta have a tough shell,” she acknowledges. “People think you don’t know what it is you’re talking about until you prove yourself.” Noelle admits that the industry is better now, and she absolutely loves her current position at Witech.
Noelle’s whole family is in the construction industry: her husband and his father and grandfather are all in construction, and her children show an interest in following in their footsteps.
