  • Management of multiple utility and storm drain crews
  • Coordinating  private and public Locates
  • Coordinating and attending pre-construction meetings with third party inspectors, government agencies or municipal agencies
  • Scheduling all survey and field engineering, including construction layout and as-built surveys
  • Scheduling and forecasting material deliveries, including precast structures, pipe, bedding, stone, masonry supplies and backfill materials
  • Daily inspections of workmanship and accuracy of field crews
  • Coordinating and attending daily third party or municipal inspections, and relaying test results to management
  • Assisting potential change orders and field engineering
  • Coordinating and executing equipment moves for associated crews
  • Coordinating and scheduling dewatering, including setting up rentals
  • Attend the weekly scheduling meeting (Monday) and forecasting meeting (Thursday)


  • Visit every crew onsite daily
  • Review plans, specs, production rates and safety goals
  • Check material inventory, including pipe, precast, bedding stone and masonry needs
  • Coordinate any trucking needs for the following day, i.e. material deliveries, bedding stone or backfill
  • Perform grade checks from the previous day and review grades for forthcoming work
  • Coordinate daily inspections with third party or municipalities
  • Confirm or coordinate lay out or field engineering needs, including verify stakes onsite
  • Confirm or coordinate any special equipment needs, i.e. fuel supplies, potential maintenance issues and report to management
  • Coordinate any rental needs at hand, including returning units that are no longer being used
  • Relay any potential RFIs or change orders to project management
