An experienced Superintendent position requires a candidate who is energetic, dedicated and someone who thrives on taking ownership and pride in own work. The Superintendent is responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control and job site safety. Additionally, the Superintendent is the direct liaison between the field crews/activities, subcontractors, engineers and management. Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion. Plan and procure materials for work forces. Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed. Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health and environmental quality standards.
Job requirements: Must have experience and knowledge of heavy civil construction (excavation, water & sewer lines and concrete).
As a superintendent, you’re the person in charge on site. You constantly communicate between management and the crews you manage to complete every job on budget and schedule. The success of the job rests on your shoulders and while you don’t perform much of the work yourself anymore, the job couldn’t happen without you.
