Heavy Equipment Oiler

Who Are We?

Since 1996 Rummel Construction has been building the Southwest US as one of the premier Heavy Civil Contractors in Arizona. We specialize in mass excavation, big dirt, you might say, but we do it all. We build award-winning golf courses; move millions of cubic yards in residential developments; build innovative road protection solutions; create flood control structures and help build the foundation of clean energy projects through our work on wind and solar sites. We’ve got a fleet of more than 300 pieces of heavy equipment and the work to support it.

What Are We Looking For?

We’re looking for experienced Heavy Equipment Oilers to support our heavy civil operations. Our Oilers help keep our equipment running by providing safe oiling and refueling services.

This is a safety-sensitive position which will require the safe operation of a lube truck on multiple job sites as well as traveling between job sites. You must have the ability to lift, load/unload parts and materials, and perform routine preventative maintenance on CATERPILLAR earthmoving equipment, including but not limited to refueling heavy equipment, checking and maintaining all fluid levels and greasing parts.

Communication is a key factor to being successful. You will need to be able to effectively communicate with Operations, Purchasing and other team members. Safety is another key factor for this role. You’ll need to be able to work safely in accordance with our Health & Safety Program, OSHA regulations, Company Policy and other programs related to the professional Heavy Equipment Oiler.

You will need to be able to competently complete Pre & Post Trip inspections and maintain driver logs to ensure DOT compliance at all times.

Minimum Qualifications: Requires a Class B CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements (at minimum), and must have an acceptable driving record with no accidents or violations in the last 3 years. Ability and willingness to travel to job sites throughout the Southwest, United States. We prefer that you have 2 years working around CATERPILLAR machines. You’ll also need to pass a drug test and an MVR before starting work.

Why should you join Rummel Construction?

At Rummel, you’re not just a number. You’re a valued member of our Team and we really want you to succeed. We have a supportive work environment designed to help you grow. We offer a competitive salary, subsidized health insurance, a 401K plan and voluntary dental and supplemental benefits. We work on interesting projects all over the Southwest US and you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to our continued success as a Heavy Equipment Oiler. Our equipment needs to be taken care of and you’re an essential piece of that!

Fuel/Lube Technician

All that big iron moving big dirt burns a whole lot of diesel fuel. While equipment operators are packing up at night, you’re getting started. Driving a mobile gas station / maintenance facility (fuel and lube truck) you go from machine to machine to fill each up with diesel and grease all moving parts. Beyond fueling, you inspect each machine for potential mechanical problems or hazards and coordinate closely with the maintenance team. Everyone involved in the operation depends on you.
