Grading and Earthworks Scraper Operators

Since 1996 Rummel Construction has been building the Southwest US as one of the premier Heavy Civil General Contractors in Arizona. We specialize in mass excavation and grading, but we do it all. We build award-winning golf courses; move millions of cubic yards in residential developments; complete projects for the Flood Control District and more. We’ve got one of the largest fleets of heavy equipment in the state and the work to support it.

Who Are You? 

Rummel Construction is seeking experienced CAT 613, 637 and/or 657 Push Pull Scraper Operators. You should have experience working on and understanding cut/fill, mass excavation projects and have the ability to work safely at all times. This is a safety sensitive position that is responsible for operating heavy construction equipment with knowledge of hazards and safety precautions and awareness and of cut/fill operations for a variety of projects.

You should have the ability to:

  • Get off an on equipment using 3 points of contact
  • Conduct daily routine inspections on assigned equipment and report defects to supervisors
  • Walk safely on 2:1 slopes throughout the jobsite
  • Work safely in all weather conditions (hot, humid, cold, wet, etc)

Min Qualifications: 2 years’ experience in the construction industry operating a Scraper. Must have experience in earthmoving and heavy construction with knowledge of cut/fill operations from a variety of projects. Must be willing to travel.
