  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within the prescribed budget
  • Review project estimate or plan to determine the schedule, estimated job cost, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project
  • Oversee coordination with project staff to outline work plans, assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority
  • Maintain relationships with owners, DOT personnel, consultants, subcontractors, etc.
  • Set-up project reporting procedures
  • Develop and monitor the project schedule and budget
  • Establish construction plans and engineering methods
  • Negotiate issues of subcontracts and major purchase orders
  • Understand and enforce contractual responsibilities, contract documents and resolve disputes
  • Handle all change orders. This includes negotiating, processing, and assessing cost, schedule impacts & preparation of claims.
  • Prepare/verify and monitor progress billings to the owner and from subcontractors.
  • Review of production planning and monitoring
  • Provide performance status reports regarding cost forecasts, schedule and safety
  • Supervise, mentor, coach, and training of project personnel
  • Ensure project profitability • Involved in all facets of project close-out


  • Extensive previous work experience managing budgets for site work projects
  • Excellent knowledge of site work materials and equipment
  • Years of prior experience in managerial or supervisory roles
  • Proficiency with multiple computer operating systems and software applications
  • Reading comprehension of technical documents
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Exemplary analytic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Proven leadership skills with a large and diverse workforce
  • Ability to nurture effective professional relationships with staff and clients
  • Strong project management abilities
  • Confidence to thrive under pressure
  • Professional demeanor and attitude
  • Driver’s License (Class A CDL Preferred)
