Inventory Control and Purchasing Manager Overview

Since 1955 Road Machinery has been committed to providing our customers with quality equipment and responsive service. We started out selling street sweepers, motor graders, and air compressors from our 7th Street, Phoenix, Arizona, location. Road Machinery now operates across Arizona and California, including world-class re-manufacturing facilities for Diesel Engines, Transmissions, Electrical Rotating Devices, and Hydraulic Cylinders.

Essential Duties

  • Purchasing and Inventory Control for all branches.
  • Plan and coordinate time and delivery of purchases.
  • Maintain and update all database pricing for all vendors and customers.
  • Ensure cycle counts have been performed at each facility twice annually.
  • Develop and write reordering programs.
  • Verify monthly rebates.
  • Collaborate with the management team as required for specific assignments or tasks.
  • Collaborate with Auditors when necessary.
  • Perform monthly reports and general parts account reconciliation.
  • Parts returns, stock transfers, adjustments.
  • Coordinate with Komatsu’s RIM Specialist to maintain ASL Program.
  • Managing our inventory and stock levels through reordering algorithms and stock orders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent years of on-the-job experience in a Purchasing/Inventory role supporting a multi-location business.
  • 2 plus years of relevant purchasing/inventory experience is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
