Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Hose Assembly Technician in Baltimore, Maryland. This position is responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar hose assemblies.  Must be able to accurately assemble various hoses (hydraulics, brake lines, and other similar hoses) to customer specifications. Will inspect, disassemble and determine parts needed for re-usable Caterpillar hose assemblies; will reassemble to factory specifications. The Hose Assembly Technician works closely with counter sales personnel to ensure hoses are assembled in a timely manner. Seeking candidates with two years’ experience in making various hoses.

• Self-starter able to work with limited supervision.
• Excellent customer satisfaction skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to apply troubleshooting techniques and determine proper repair procedures for failed hose assemblies.
• Strong mechanical aptitude required.
• Proficient computer technology skills, including the ability to use and interpret info from Caterpillar’s Hose Information System (HIS) and Service Information Systems (SIS).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work overtime as required by job and customer demand.

Must meet physical requirements for the job. This position requires repeated reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending and climbing.
