Since 1996 Rummel Construction has been building the Southwest US as one of the premier earthworks and grading contractors in Arizona. We self-perform the majority of our work and sustain a fleet of over 300 pieces of heavy equipment. Scrapers, Excavators, Gannon tractors, that’s the equipment that drives our business. We build roads, residential developments, golf courses and much more.

What Skills should you have?

This is a safety-sensitive position which requires operating company equipment and as such, you should be able to pass an MVR, drug screen, be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, sit, stand, kneel, walk in rough, uneven terrain and work in all weather conditions.
At least 3 years experience in grading and earthworks construction, previous supervision experience, and the ability to travel to project locations throughout the Southwest United States.

As a superintendent, you’re the person in charge on site. You constantly communicate between management and the crews you manage to complete every job on budget and schedule. The success of the job rests on your shoulders and while you don’t perform much of the work yourself anymore, the job couldn’t happen without you.
