GPS Machine Control Foreman

JOB SUMMARY.

Responsible for helping maintain and diagnosing Trimble GPS machine-controlled machines. Setting up and calibrating sites for both GPS machine and basic layout using Trimble rover and data collector.

Working in Trimble business center to verify 3d surfaces are correct. Responsible for verifying that the 3D machines are accurately cutting/filling to 3d surfaces. Helping operators understand how 3d surfaces are built and offset.

Essential functions

• Calibrating sites and verifying the accuracy of provided control
• Loading surfaces in both data collectors and 3d machines
• Doing basic layout using Trimble rover and 3d surfaces and recording asbuilts.
• Maintain and keep inventory of all GPS equipment
• Coordinate with site superintendents on needs for both staking and machines
• Running Trimble business center to export files and points needed to build jobs.
• Accurately reporting hours via HCSS.

Requirements.

• Ability to self-schedule and follow directions from management.
• Experience reading site plans
• Experience utilizing industry software: Trimble business center, HCSS, Plangrid
• Maintain a valid driver’s license to legally operate a motor vehicle
• Ability to pass a background test and drug screening.
• Ability to wear PPE
• Ability to work outside year round
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds, dig holes for base poles and hammer stakes for layout.
• Building 3d models in Trimble is a plus but not a requirement. Although training will be provided to learn as it is part of the job.
