General Shop Department Supervisor

Description

This position is responsible for the planning of repairs, and overhaul of a variety of small to large equipment In both the construction and mining type related equipment. Performs tasks required to complete the business functions of the service dept.: open/close work orders, research job history, prepares quotations, presents and follows up with customers, closes work orders, and all shop safety inspections/documentation. Perform any other duties as directed.

Detailed Job Description:

Weekly Responsibilities

• Review weekly reports, OT, % billed, shop schedule, work plan to actual variance
• Make sure all equipment is working properly and safely
• Finish weekly jobs for billing, keep on track with % billed
• Building maintenance, work with other Supervisors to coordinate repairs
• Update Production List

Monthly Responsibilities

• Manage jobs to invoice & unbilled jobs report
• Participate in monthly warranty meeting
• Review monthly reports with operations manager
• Meet deadline for month end closing

Quarterly/Yearly

• Participate in Inventory management/and maintaining inventory for future jobs
• Employee reviews
• Participate in management meetings quarterly
• Maintain EBITDA target goals on repairs
• Hiring/coaching/disciplining employees, employee development plans
• Development of Annual Operating Plan metrics
