Columbus Quarry, LLC, a division of The Concrete Company, is looking for experienced fixed plant maintenance technicians.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily equipment inspections and documents findings. Repair and Maintain Plant Equipment. Perform repairs and maintenance throughout the plant including screen changes, conveyor belt repair, and adjustment, wear parts replacement, crusher liner changes, and water pump service. Perform cutting, grinding, and welding as needed.
  • Work with local management on planning and scheduling maintenance.
  • Inspect Equipment and Structures. Perform daily inspections and maintenance of the plant equipment in order to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations to maximize production and minimize interruptions. Ensure greasing is performed properly on all equipment – screens – crushers and conveyors
  • Document and Record Information. Enter and maintain service and lubrication reports regarding the plant equipment used to ensure preventative maintenance is up to date.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Operational/Maintenance background preferred
  • Experience with resolving electrical issues preferred
  • Proficient in welding/fabricating preferred, ability to effectively supervise welding projects required
  • Background in crusher/screen maintenance preferred
  • Crane experience preferred, must meet benchmarks for operating crane and understanding load charts
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment
  • Can manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously and keep them progressing to completion.
