Estimator/ Project Manager

City Hill Construction, Inc. is currently looking for a estimator. We are a growing site work company in western NY, and we are looking to bring an estimator on board full time who can help us continue to grow our company. Prior experience is preferred but not necessary. Your experience will determine your starting position. Entry level position will be estimating our smaller residential projects and working into estimating larger projects as you gain the necessary skills required to bid larger commercial projects. If you have proven experiance we would be looking to have you start bidding some of our larger commercial projects right away.

Applicants must have:

• Valid drivers licence and reliable transportation to and from work
• If applying as an estimator with experience, we would prefer 5+ years of proven experience
• Must be able to pass a pre employment drug test
• Must be responsible and present yourself in a professional manner
• Must have high attention to detail
• Must be self motivated and willing to work a flexible schedule depending on what projects you are working on
• Must be personable and be able to work with customers and vendors with a professional and respectful manner
• The ability to read and decipher project plans and specs
• Must be proficient with computers and programs
• Previous experience with estimating and takeoff software is a plus. Specifically B2W Estimate for estimating and Trimble Business Center or InSite for takeoffs
• Represent the company in a professional and respectful manner
• Construction background would be a plus

Responsibilities:

• Meet with customers to discuss projects
• Preform takeoffs from site plans
• Evaluate project spec book and other project documents
• Procure and evaluate vendor and sub contractor prices
• Prepare detailed proposals for each job based on information provided
• Attend and participate in site walk though
• Problem solve
• Project management responsibilities include: Cost tracking, procurement of materials and sub contractors, reviewing contracts and contract documents, submittals, and change orders
