We are looking for a highly motivated EDT Technician to help provide customers with exceptional service. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic who flourishes in a fast-paced and professional workplace. As an EDT Technician, you will perform repairs and or rebuild service on Komatsu Electric Drive Systems (GE) and other brands of heavy equipment, so you should have strong diagnostic and repair skills.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge and understanding of (GE) drive systems (AC, DC).
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair high-voltage electrical breakdowns on heavy haulage equipment.
  • Understand how to read data pack downloads and program electrical drive system configurations.
  • Know and understand how to read electrical Schematics.
  • Mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting is a plus.
  • Create a job plan based on diagnosis to include repair operations and anticipated repair hours need to complete repair.
  • Prepare inspection, RCFA, troubleshooting, and teardown reports.
  • Organize, clean, and maintain a safe work area.
  • Communicate effectively with Service Planner and Supervisors to ensure problems, nature of the repair, and status of those repairs are understood and followed up on in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer satisfaction.
  • Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures.
  • Any other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor and/or management.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of previous dealership experience
  • Qualified candidates must have 3+ years of successful hands-on experience with EDT system experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to work independently in performing repairs and maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electronics
  • Team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer and service team
  • Self-motivated and professional
  • Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening
