CDL Water Truck Operators
Who Are We?
Since 1996 Rummel Construction has been building the Southwest US as one of the premier Heavy Civil General Contractors in Arizona. We specialize in mass excavation and grading, but we do it all. We build award-winning golf courses; move millions of cubic yards in residential developments; build innovative road protection solutions and build flood control structures.
What Are We Looking For?
We’re looking for experienced water truck drivers who currently have a CDL and have worked on construction sites. You should have at least 2 years experience in the construction industry, preferably as a water truck operator.
This is a safety sensitive position. You can expect to be climbing in and out of truck cabs, be responsible to hook up to a predetermined water source, load and unload materials up to 50 lbs, and operate the hose, monitor and spray nozzles.
You’ll need to be able to safely walk on unfinished terrain. It’s a job site, there are 2:1 slopes, rough and rocky patches and general walking hazards you’ll need to be aware of and avoid. Our work takes us all over the Southwest US, so you’ll also need to be comfortable to work safely in hot, humid, cold and wet conditions, outside.
What Skills do you have?
If you’re applying, we’d like to see at least 2 years experience in the construction industry. You’ll need to already possess a valid CDL with Tanker Endorsement and must have an acceptable driving record with no accidents or violations in the last 3 years. You’ll need to pass an MVR check and a drug test before starting work. Our projects span the Southwest US and you must be willing to travel as needed.
Why should you join Rummel Construction?
We offer an excellent work environment including a competitive salary, subsidized health insurance, 401k plan, and voluntary dental and supplemental benefits.
Preferred Qualifications: Basic Dust Control Coordinator Certification.

Every heavy construction or mining project involves moving material or equipment from point A to B. That’s where truck drivers come in. Whether you’re transporting equipment by lowboy, hauling aggregate on road with a traditional dump truck, or moving 45 tons of material in an off-road haul truck, you keep every project moving. This is an essential career in the dirt world.Learn More
