About

In 1939, Allan A. Myers & Sons was Founded, with the purchase of a five-ton dump truck to deliver rocks, dirt, and lime to local farmers.

In 1970, A member of a new Myers generation joined the company – A. Ross Myers, grandson, and son of Allan A. and Allan C. Myers, respectively. During this time, Myers secured its first contract with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and its first contract over $500,000.

Vertical integration led to the company’s growth in the 1980s. With bigger work being secured each year, much of it asphalt paving projects, the company purchased a well-used asphalt plant in the Philadelphia suburbs. To optimize asphalt production, the company later acquired a quarry as well.

Milestone achievements characterized the first decade of the new Millennium. The company secured the most significant contracts ever awarded by PennDOT and the PA Turnpike and delivered its first design-build project.

Hard work and unbreakable resolve helped the company regain strength as the Great Recession began to subside. In 2015, Allan Myers Re-branding united American Infrastructure, Allan A. Myers, and Independence Construction Materials under one name – Allan Myers, forming the largest civil construction and materials producer in the Mid-Atlantic region.
